On Sunday 12 July the Challapata market price for white quinoa closed at 450 Bolivianos per quintal (US$1.43 per kg), again lower than the price in the previous week.
Red quinoa was sold at a slightly higher price; this week the price for red quinoa reached 1100 Bolivianos per quintal, which is equivalent to US$3.50 per kg. The price for black quinoa remained the same, at 700 Bolivianos per quintal (US$2.22).
